- It can upconvert your old DVDs to 720p ,1080i or 1080p depending on your HDTV's highest resolution.
Upconversion doesn't change the DVD at all. It just enhances your viewing experience when you watch a DVD
with a player (or player/recorder like the DR570) that can do it. The recording capabilities are what you would
expect from a high end VCR (but on DVDs, of course). You can program it to record up to 12 programs in one
month at disc capacities of 1 hour (XP), 2 hours (SP), 4 hours (LP), 6 hours (EP) and 8 hours (SLP). As with a VCR,
the shorter the recording time the higher the quality the image. The DR570 records on DVD-Video, CD-DA, CD-R,
CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, VCD, and SVCD.
-It also allows you to view your JPEG photos you've burned to a DVD or CD on your computer or that are on a
Kodak Picture CD you can get with your developed film and negatives.
What's more, this multimedia machine can also play and record music in the popular MP3 and WMA formats.
